Shocking news came in this morning from Dana White, the president of the UFC. It’s finally happening- PewDiePie will finally be squaring off in the octagon against T-Series this weekend for the title of “Undisputed Champion of YouTube”. The fight to stay at the top as the most subscribed YouTuber has really started heating up in the past couple months. PewDiePie is currently sitting at about 78.5 million subscribers while T-series has 77.3 million. While T-Series’ owner Bhushan Kumar seems unbothered by the fight, PewDiePie fans have promoted their guy in an incredible and inspiring way. Buying ad space on billboards, tweeting, and telling all their friends to “Subscribe to PewDiePie”, they have helped the current YouTube king gain a whopping 6.3 million subs in the last 30 days.
PewDiePie is currently the overwhelming favorite for the fight that will take place Saturday night in Inglewood, California. UFC analyst Joe Rogan took one look at Pewds and praised his spindly arms. He said he’d have the reach advantage over anyone T-series sends into the octagon. And that’s currently the biggest question: who will T-series send to represent them? Will it be owner Bhushan Kumar who recently told BBC that he is “not bothered by this race”? It seems like he doesn’t want a fight at all. If I were to guess, T-Series will send one of these guys from their newest hit music video “Yo Yo Honey Singh”:
These dudes look like they could throw down, but I’m still putting my money on PewDiePie.
