YouTube has been getting a lot of criticism as of late due to their most recent edition of “YouTube Rewind” and our lord and savior Elon Musk has come to the rescue once again.
According to the following graph, the dislikes have now surpassed the likes on YouTube Rewind for the first time since 2011.
And let me tell you, the video is just downright awful. Ethan Klein from h3h3Productions did a great job explaining how YouTube Rewind used to represent the creators on the platform and show what it was actually like to be on YouTube in 2013. Now in 2018, Ethan explains how YouTube is “pandering to advertisers” and “trying to be more Hollywood”. This year’s Rewind video starts out with an incredibly cringy intro from Will Smith as he makes references to Fortnite (Here’s the link to the h3h3 Vid: It’s Time To Stop YouTube Rewind).
With all that being said, we once again need to give a round of applause to GOAT Elon. He’s back at it again, buying up every app/website/video game in an attempt to save the world. Elon has reportedly bought YouTube just to delete YouTube Rewind. He’s done it again.
“Thank you Elon, very cool!” – @realDonaldTrump
